Lovely hotel, perfectly situated for the airport terminals, yet very quiet and peaceful. Stimulating pool (probably 25 ms long!). Only negative I experienced was very long check in line. Breakfast buffet expensive, a la carte cheaper!

Designed by Chicago architect Helmut Jahn, Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich in Germany is set inside the Munich Airport, between Terminals One and Two. The hotel is 37 kilometers from downtown Munich and the Hofbrauhaus Brewery. The closest S-Bahn station to the hotel is Flughafen Munchen.

Hotel Features.
The Kempinski Hotel Airport Munich comprises four stories of steel and glass. The hotel is centered around a 1,400-square-meter glass atrium and gardens. The hotel offers coffee and complimentary newspapers in the lobby. The Charles Lindbergh Restaurant features themed buffets for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. An a la carte menu is available for weekend lunches and dinners. Regional and international dishes at the hotel's Asian-influenced Safran Restaurant serves a la carte Thai and Mediterranean cuisine, with specialties such as crispy breast of duck on Thai vegetables and Spanish chorizo. In the atrium's Lobby Cafe, Italian coffee and light snacks are featured. Decorated with a black bar and red-leather seats, the Night Flight Bar serves drinks amid palm trees and ceiling light projections. The hotel offers a full-service Fit and Fly Spa. Expert Tip.
The atrium is 24 meters, or nearly eight stories high, with a curved skylight roof and glass curtain walls at both ends. Imported palm trees, tall glass shelves of artificial geraniums, red chairs, and translucent green floor insets add warmth to the glass-and-terrazzo lobby.
